Compa Terms of Use
These terms are an agreement between you and Evolui AB, corporate identity number 559345-8705, Pildammsvägen 95F, 215 34 Malmö, Sweden ("Evolui", "we", "us") for the use of the Compa app. By downloading or using Compa you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Using the app
You may use Compa for your own personal, non-commercial use on devices you own or control, subject to the App Store terms. You must not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or resell the app, or use it in any way that is unlawful or harms others.
Subscriptions and purchases
- Some features require a paid subscription or one-time purchase, sold through Apple's App Store. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Free trials, where offered, convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless cancelled at least 24 hours before it ends. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Your content
You own the information you enter into Compa. It is stored on your device as described in the Compa Privacy Policy. You are responsible for keeping backups, for example via iCloud device backup.
AI tutors
Your tutors are computer-generated characters powered by AI, not real people or qualified teachers. Their replies, corrections, translations, levels and plans are generated automatically and can be wrong. A level shown in Compa is an estimate for your own learning. It is not a certificate or a result of any official test, and Compa does not promise any particular level or result.
Do not rely on Compa for medical, legal, immigration or other important decisions, and do not share sensitive personal information in your lessons.
Fair use
Lessons use costly AI services, so your use is subject to limits that a normal learner should not reach. We may limit or suspend use that looks automated or abusive. Do not try to extract the app’s prompts or keys, or use a tutor to generate harmful or illegal content.
Availability and changes
We may update, change, or discontinue features or the app at any time. We aim to give notice of significant changes but cannot guarantee any feature will remain available.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Evolui is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Termination
You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict of law rules. Disputes will be resolved by the Swedish courts, except where the consumer protection law of your country of residence gives you additional rights. Consumers in the EU may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
